All of our programmes enable delegates to have fun and learn in a challenging environment which places individuals outside of their "comfort zone". It is outside of this "comfort zone" that powerful learning and change can take place.

The development and learning programmes we write use Experiential learning techniques - learning, experimenting, putting ideas into action and receiving constructive feedback. Experiential Learning, from our perspective, is very different to normal/classroom training as it directly facilitates changes and development at work - in real situations. It has been compared in management terms to the practical driving lesson for the learner motorist. Reading books and being told how to drive will not give you enough skills to do it safely, whereas driving in traffic and crunching the gears produces rapid change and learning, thereby resulting in a speedy, successful outcome by comparison..

Tutors, trainers and consultants

Pro-Active Tutors come from a variety of backgrounds such as industry, management, teaching, psychology and training. They have a wealth of experience from working with companies to produce organisational and management training programmes.

Group tutors are highly skilled, credible facilitators and often work with individuals on a 1:1 basis. We are mindful of the benefits of using as many new and different development tools which are currently available.

For programmes which use outdoor based exercises as an appropriate learning medium a highly experienced and qualified team will look after all safety aspects.

Course venues and locations

Courses can be held in all regions throughout Europe or world-wide. We are not restricted to using one or two of our own training venues, as we have a network of associate centres all around the country. This means we are able to offer a wide range of choices to suit your requirements of cost, location and facilities. We will also design a course at a particular venue or location of your choice. Accommodation is charged at cost price only and special rates are negotiated on your behalf by Pro-Active.

During the past 14 years we have been in business, we have developed specific bases to work from which are often ideal for teambuilding events. These bases are in the UK, French Alps and Southern Spain and include sailing yacht based courses in both Wales and the Mediterranean.

Equipment

During task based courses we provide high quality personal and specialist equipment. We are able to offer a range of equipment (to suit requirements and price) which is charged to you at the cost price. Any safety equipment is checked prior to a course and is subject to our rigorous safety standards.

Course aids and materials

Pro-Active provides all standard course aids and materials which are appropriate to your event. We invest considerable time in writing or selecting appropriate pre-course aids (such as self perception inventories and questionnaires, for example - Learning Styles, Personal Motivation Drivers, Team Roles, Personal Skills Inventories and so on.
